Joey Negro Does it again!

Title: Produced With Love
Label: Z Records
Release: 23rd June 2017

The master mixer, Dj and producer Joey Negro (aka Dave Lee) has once again come up with the goods with the release of his latest album offering to the dance music world, this one simply entitled, ‘Produced With Love’ which surprisingly is only his second album release of his career.

Released on his own record label Z Records on June 30th this is an album that’s been eagerly anticipated by many, including myself for quite some time. An album of 20 tracks with a little something for everyone, whatever your dance music taste. From the funky 70’s reminiscent opening track ‘Prove That You’re Feeling Me’ through to the bass heavy synth complete ‘Stomp Your Feet’ it just makes you want to stick it on shuffle and wonder which gem will kick in next.

The album features collaborations with a number of stand out artists in their own right. The late great Diane Charlemagne, Linda Clifford, Melba Moore, Gwen Guthrie and Angela Johnson to name just a few.

I’ve been asked what are the two or three stand out tracks on the album and if I’m honest, with my love of a good hook and house beat I have got to say ‘ Stomp Your Feet’, ‘Into The Blue’ and ‘Love Is Thicker Than Water’ really do it for me. Three outstanding tracks that get played more than any others from the album but make no mistake all 20 tracks are outstanding in their own right.

Whether you’re a devotee of classical funky dance music or, like me, you have a penchant for the more modern bass and synth house vibe this album delivers it all in spades. A truly amazing album and one I predict will be remembered as one of those that cements the thoughts of many that Joey Negro is the absolute master of dance floor music.

Score: 9.5/10

Why only 9.5 out of 10? Well, there’s only 20 tracks. I wanted 30!
