Sam Qureshi is an Alto – Saxophonist and Composer born in Karachi, Pakistan, raised in Birmingham and based in Manchester since 1997. Sam has been a dedicated jazz musician for 30 years and has played at top venues Ronnie Scots, the Blue Note Club and featured gig for Radio 1 DJ Giles Peterson. He has also worked with hometown band UB40 and recorded ‘How to Steal the World’ album by personal commission of Ali Campbell in the original DEP Studios.
It was a great pleasure to catch up with Sam and chat about the forth coming album, his work and life in the Jazz scene, remixes and more. What a gent and what an artist.
